When in Berlin, have currywurst; when vegetarian or vegan in Berlin, have vegan currywurst. You may have already spotted a problem: I don’t like tomatoes, and that includes ketchup. However, I took one for the blog and headed to Curry 61, which a friend recommended to me as the best vegan currywurst spot. No, the curry ketchup sauce wasn’t my favorite but I won’t knock it based on my prejudice against tomatoes. The vegan wurst was tofu and seitan based. It was actually pretty good!
