Bang Bang Kitchen, Seattle

Bang Bang Kitchen

I’m a fan of Bang Bang Kitchen, so while making brunch plans with friends, I recommended meeting there. I’ve sampled a number of their brunch items but hadn’t yet tried their 505 burger, which can be made vegetarian via an Impossible patty substitution (for $3 extra). It’s a smash burger with house-made pickles, lettuce, tomato, onion, and in Bang Bang fashion, chopped green chile and green chile burger sauce. Unfortunately, despite asking for no tomatoes, I had to pick them out. The burger was okay. I like Bang Bang’s focus on New Mexico chiles, but didn’t feel the flavor quite pop through as strongly as I would have liked in the burger. There was nothing bad about the burger, but nothing astounding either. Next time, I will stick with some of their other brunch items like their stuffed sopapillas. I will say their side of fries was quite generous though!
