I had a bit of time until my flight out of Sacramento and needed dinner. After wandering the terminal, I settled on Burgers and Brew. They allow a vegetarian patty substitute for all of their burgers and had the Impossible patty on hand. I opted for the mushroom and onion cheeseburger. It was substantive with good flavor – not bad at all for an airport burger! I upgraded my side to their Fuji salad, which is mixed greens with Fuji apples, gorgonzola cheese, and caramelized walnuts. They were a bit light on the vinaigrette dressing, but the salad was still good. The restaurant also offers a robust beer selection for their size, including some Belgian offerings. I went for a Moscow Mule in a can this time, though.
Everything was a bit expensive – it is an airport restaurant after all – but given the choices around, this one stood out. I would happily eat there again if I am stuck with time on my hands in the Sacramento airport!
