I was in Newtown Linford with friends to wander around the beautiful Bradgate Park. It is home to very old trees, many deer, and the crumbling childhood castle-home of Lady Jane Grey. After our time in the park, we went for dinner and a pint at The Bradgate, which is right nearby. I ordered their Moving Mountains burger. Moving Mountains is a UK company that makes veggie patties and other imitation meat products. This was my first time trying their burger patty. I liked it; it did not crumble at all. The Bradgate served it up with cheddar cheese, lettuce, onion, and maple bourbon barbecue sauce. Admittedly, barbecue sauce isn’t generally my top choice, and of course it made the burger a bit sweet and messy. Overall, it was good. The burger came with fries that were quite nice. All in all, a good pub experience after a fun time at the park!
